Austere and Prehospital Ultrasound (APUS) Course
The College of Remote and Offshore Medicine Foundation offers our APUS course. It consists of online learning and two days of hands-on skills. This course has been approved for Fellowship in the Academy of Wilderness Medicine (FAWM) credits through the Wilderness Medical Society. Actual credits awarded depend on personal credit needs and history.

The course focuses on the use of ultrasound for prehospital practitioners. It follows the cABCD algorithm and what POCUS assessments can be used in each part area.

Skills taught:
- eFAST
- ICP measurement
- Lung assessment
- Fluid assessment through the IVC
- IV cannulations with POCUS
- 3D Bladder measurement
- MSK assessment

The cost of the two-day POCUS course is £395 for College members. Members will have to email info@corom.edu.mt with their proof of membership.
