Escape into Education – Puzzle-Based Learning with the Alexx-Boxx to Promote Practical Competence in Paramedic Education

 

Alexander Gröber, carpenter and paramedic, has recently completed a BA in Health Education and now leads the educational project “Alexx-Boxx” – a didactic tool that enables puzzle-based, action-oriented learning, inspired by escape room concepts and tailored to the needs of paramedic training.

Palliative and End of Life Care (PEoLC) Simulation Training in a UK Ambulance Service: Evaluating the effectiveness of experiential learning on prehospital clinician confidence, considering curriculum development and future impact.

Dead or Alive: A Pharmacology Game Show.  Paramedic Students Compete for Glory, Patient Survival, and Drug Knowledge

Jessica Wray, Senior Lecturer at Buckinghamshire New University (BNU).  Jessica is a fellow of the Institute of Biomedical Science, the Royal Society of Biology and the HEA.  

 

‘All the gear no idea’: creating meaningful, tiered and psychologically safe student-centred simulation

Caroline Neveu and Katie Pavoni, City St George's, University of London.  Caroline is a senior lecturer and Simulation lead for the BSc Paramedic Science, with a special interest in psychological safety and human factors in simulation.  Katie Pavoni is Associate Professor of Paramedicine and the programme director and welfare lead for BSc Paramedic Science.  She is also a specialist mental health paramedic practitioner for South East Coast Ambulance Service.

Murder on the Orient Sim-Spress: Using Gamified Simulation to Support Transition to Practice and Assessment Preparation in Final-Year Paramedic Students

 

Sarah Wood, City St George's, University of London. Alongside her educational and clinical qualifications and experience Sarah also has a background in media, communication and theatre with an MA in media production.
