Sexual Harassment and Inappropriate Behaviour
Webinar Series

#DriveitOut

This series of five webinars took place from December 2021-May 2022.
In partnership with Brabners, they covered how to spot when something is wrong, tackling those difficult conversations, promoting safe working spaces and more.

All webinars have been uploaded below, along with a short description of each session.

Webinar 1

The first webinar, which took place on 16th December 2021, was an introduction to the issue of sexual harassment and inappropriate behaviour/culture in the ambulance service, exploring what we mean by harassment (the legal definition), the issues of harassment in the workplace generally and in this sector in particular, what are the causes of this culture and what should a positive workplace look like?

Webinar 4

Dealing with issues of harassment, bullying and inappropriate behaviours in the workplace can be highly upsetting, stressful and sometimes traumatic. Speaking out for yourself or others can be nerve-wracking.

This session, which took place on Thursday 28th April 2022, looked at how to provide you with tools to support self-care and build resilience, as well as signposting some of the external support available.

Webinar 5

The fifth and final webinar in this series took place on Thursday 19th May 2022 at 10am, and explored the topic of sexual harassment and inappropriate behaviours in the workplace.

In the previous webinars we provided guidance about how to feel empowered to speak up and try to resolve issues of inappropriate behaviour informally. However, sometimes, formal action is required. In this webinar we focussed on the legal protections and formal routes available to employees who are facing harassment or bullying in the workplace.
