College of Paramedics National Conference 2020 Postponement

Important information about this year's National Conference

17.03.2020

The COVID19 (Coronavirus) outbreak brings with it an increasing number of concerns and it has now been characterised by the World Health Organisation (WHO) as a pandemic.  As a result, we have seen our NHS and primary and secondary care facilities come under increasing pressure to cope with the demand this virus places upon our health and social care systems.

After a careful and considered assessment of the situation, whilst holding the health, safety and wellbeing of our delegates at the forefront of our decisions, the College finds itself with no other alternative but to postpone our National Conference, which was due to take place on the 13th & 14th May.

This decision aims to minimise the health risks related to the spreading of COVID-19 and to address the increasing and significant travel difficulties for both speakers and delegates. Considering these implications, we believe that postponing the conference to a future date is the best solution at this time. This will allow participants to attend safely and maintain the high level of quality of our conference programme.

Please be assured that this decision has not been taken lightly and that all necessary measures are in place to ensure the event retains its status as a highly regarded conference.

We thank you for your patience and your understanding.
