Update on our petition to obtain Royal Charter status

02/08/2023

The College of Paramedics is pleased to inform you that following the formal announcement of our petition to seek Royal Charter status in the London Gazette in May, the period in which objections can be made against the petition has now drawn to a close. No objections were forthcoming.

This means that our application now progresses to the Attorney General who will legally check all our documents. Once this process is complete, we expect His Majesty The King to formally grant the Charter at the next meeting of the Privy Council in October.

Jon Price, President of the College of Paramedics, said: “I am delighted with this news.”

We will of course bring you any further updates as, and when, we receive them.
