Delay in Enacting Legislation to the Misuse Of Drugs Regulations to allow Paramedic Independent Prescribing of a Limited List of Controlled Drugs.
We are happy to announce that Lord Butler has asked the Home Office a formal Parliamentary question about the issue as a result of the meeting between Lord Butler, Tracy Nicholls, and David Rovardi from the College of Paramedics and the subsequent briefing pack prepared for Lord Butler by Mandy Powell, Tracy Nicholls, and David Rovardi.
The question has been tabled and an answer has been received from the Home Office.

We are very grateful to Lord Butler for his help and support on this issue and with his support we will continue to pursue the matter to ensure a change in the legislation for the benefit of patients and paramedics.
