Before going further please be sure you are joining the correct category of membership.
Associate Membership is ideal for individuals who work with or alongside paramedics, including healthcare leaders, volunteers, or those who otherwise support the paramedic profession in any way, and for those who aspire to become a paramedic in the future, for example, those on a healthcare access course.
We have Associate Members that include nurses, doctors, other allied health professionals, ambulance technicians, associate ambulance practitioners, emergency care assistants, community first responders, first aiders and those in administrative roles e.g. human resources, also those in senior leadership roles that are not paramedics, such as Chief Executives, Medical Directors, Professors, including research and academic colleagues and police and fire colleagues. If you are not sure whether this includes you, it probably does, but please email membership@collegeofparamedics.co.uk for further guidance.
Other membership categories
If you are a Student Paramedic studying on a course leading to eligibility to apply for registration with the HCPC then you should join the Student Paramedic Member category. Click here for further guidance.
If you are an HCPC registered paramedic, you are not eligible for any other membership category other than the Full Member category. Click here for further guidance.
Non-UK paramedics and overseas/international colleagues
Associate Membership is the membership category for non-UK paramedics and other prehospital responders, including those registered with an overseas regulatory body, e.g. the Paramedicine Board of Australia or the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (USA).
