Fitness to Practise Testimonials

The College of Paramedics and Keystone Law, the College’s solicitors, receive many testimonials from members

Here are just a few...

I cannot praise Andrea enough. Even down to little things such as her answering the phone on an evening when I called her and that she always replied when she said she would. Those little things go a long way. Just having someone to speak to there and then certainly took the worry out of the situation. Andrea was kind, approachable and incredibly helpful. We are very privileged to be able to access her support and wealth of knowledge

Just a message of thanks for the assistance the College of Paramedics provided to me today for legal representation at a HCPC hearing, which was greatly appreciated. Please also pass on my thanks to Andrea James and Samantha Thompson, the Solicitors, who worked incredibly hard on a Sunday evening to prepare my defence bundle in time for the hearing, as I had spent the weekend with my children unsupervised for the first time in 6 months therefore unfortunately buried my head in the sand until I returned them home at 6pm on Sunday. I apologise for the additional work I no doubt caused them. The instructed barrister Rosalind Scott Bell was excellent, as was the solicitor on the day. Fortunately the panel accepted that the HCPCs interim order application was not well founded and rejected it entirely.

Thank you for everything you have done for me. You have been wonderful. I still remember the first day I spoke to you about all this, I was a mess and you were so kind and helped me. I am so grateful for the help you gave me. You and your colleague really got me through this. Thank you so much.

Can I formally thank you both for your expertise and much needed support, which ultimately led to the “No case to answer” Outcome. After many years in this sector its reassuring there are still this level of support when needed. Thank you all so much and I have thanked the College of Paramedics for their assistance. It’s amazing how this kind of bad press can ruin a lifetime of commitment.

Going through the HCPC process was the best thing that happened to me. Since then I’ve learned loads on human factors and it’s transformed my practice. I’ve gone back to Uni and am currently doing the ACP programme to be an Advanced Practitioner in Primary/Urgent Care. Wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for your support.

I attended my Final Hearing yesterday and no case to answer was the outcome. I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the service I received from the legal team. I have never in my life dealt with such a committed individual as James, who worked tirelessly in preparing my case. Although James was often very busy, he was always contactable and free to discuss with me late in the evening. I have the utmost respect for you professional team, of which you should be very proud. Mark Harries QC in addition was exemplary in his presentation of my defence. Mark’s presentation flowed on for 75mins in a structured format with a summary to close which was amazing. I owe my life to these individuals, the team of Solicitors and the College. I am forever indebted and will actively promote the College of Paramedics. God Bless you all and thank you for taking my case on.

From my own personal perspective when I approached Andrea on a matter around Covid-19 she was great to talk to and very knowledgeable. It was a really insightful and productive conversation with excellent advice/support!

Hi Andrea. This is just a small note to thank you most sincerely for the support, guidance, reassurance and professional expertise you have provided me during the past 18 months, for what was undoubtedly the most stressful experience of my professional life. I doubt very much that I would have got through this whole episode without your ongoing support. I will be forever grateful to you.
