Tom Goodwin, Advanced Paramedic - Clinical Lead, Hatzola Manchester & North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust
I am an operational Advanced Paramedic for the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust and the Clinical Lead of Hatzola Manchester (Jewish Volunteer Ambulance Service). Married with 2 beautiful daughters. I am from West Yorkshire and studied Paramedic Science at Portsmouth University in 2009 with South Central Ambulance Service. I moved to Manchester and started working with NWAS in 2013. I was promoted to Senior Paramedic after 3 years of working on an RRV in Central Manchester. I trained as an operational commander and SORT member, I took part in some interesting critical incidents over 3 years as a Senior Paramedic. I was then promoted to Advanced Paramedic in 2019 where I am now the Clinical Lead for Stockport City area for NWAS. I Joined Hatzola Manchester as their Clinical Lead in late 2020/21 and led their transformation process which took them from a service struggling with CQC compliance to one now rated Good in all areas. I have been involved in developing the service into a competitive ambulance service which is able to provide the same level of treatment as an NHS service would offer. I am currently at the end of my MSc programme studying in Bolton University.
