Using internet mediated research to move past the perspectives of the clinical researcher and understand what matters to paramedics working in primary care roles
Presented by Georgette Eaton NIHR Doctoral Research Fellow, this session will be taking place on Wednesday 23rd March 19:00-20:00
During 1st December 2021- 28th February 2022, online social spaces for paramedics working in primary care on Facebook, Reddit and Twitter were observed. This was part of a study which aims to improve understanding of the ways in which paramedics are working within the primary care workforce in the United Kingdom. Observation of online social spaces where paramedics in primary care interact was considered to enable a valuable insight into paramedic perceptions of their contributions to primary care, as well as their daily practices and the impact they believe they make, which is vital to ensure the overall picture is clear. This seminar discusses the application of this novel methodology to the paramedic profession
