Dr Caroline Leech is a Consultant in Emergency Medicine and Trauma Lead at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS trust, a Clinical Supervisor with the Warwick and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance, Associate Editor for the Emergency Medicine Journal (EMJ), a member of the Executive of the Faculty of Pre-Hospital Medicine at the Royal College of Surgeons and the West Midlands Training Programme Director for PHEM (Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine).
Dr Leech continues the series looking at the trauma patient with a particular focus on an effective breathing assessment. This session will explore conducting an effective assessment, exploring flail chests, pneumothoraces, rib fractures and the important role analgesics can provide.
