Joe Dent presents an overview
of the role of the paramedic in the stroke pathway, including the
identification of stroke in prehospital care, the need to develop our
examination and assessment skills and future developments to improve patient
outcomes.
Joe
Dent, MCPara, MSc Postgrad Cert, BSc, is a paramedic and Advanced
Practitioner for Stroke at Salford Royal Hospital. Joe leads on stroke
education for the College of Paramedics. He has led the development of
the Prehospital Stroke Training for Paramedics supported by Boehringer
