Maternity Month - Having those Difficult Conversations

Maternity Month - Having those Difficult Conversations
The British Association of Perinatal Medicine has been working in conjunction with JRCALC and AACE to make significant changes to the maternity guidelines. Recently within the JRCALC update there has been new guidelines for waterbirths and amendments to existing maternity guidelines and we feel it only appropriate to bring these to your attention.

The College is pleased to dedicate April to Maternity CPD. This three-part series will bring these updates to your attention and on Wednesday, 20th of April, at 6pm we welcoming the charities CRADLE and SANDs with Having those Difficult Conversations  - 'Dear Paramedic, we wanted you to know....'

Presented by Louise Zeniou, CEO CRADLE and Dawn Brown, Operations Director CRADLE, the focus of this session will be on the communication between paramedics and families.

This presentation will be providing insight from patients who have received pre-hospital care from the Ambulance services during or following early pregnancy loss.
Louise and Dawn hope to demonstrate how important the role of call handlers and paramedics are to those who have received care, and what to consider when communicating to those involved in the pathway of care, in this case family members.
A recording of Louise’s 999 Call will be played during the session.
