Nutritional Coaching Webinars 


We know that shift working can play havoc with not just what you eat but when you eat, placing shift workers at greater risk of developing chronic health conditions in the longer term which is likely due to living against our natural body clock. 

There is strong evidence of a bi-directional relationship between sleep and diet, where chronic sleep and circadian rhythm disruption (SCRD) impacts glucose metabolism, energy, hunger and satiety (fulness) hormones, and detoxification processes. Irregular sleep and eating patterns experienced by shift workers affect cardiometabolic health markers, such as obesity, lipid profile, insulin resistance and blood pressure. These biological imbalances may be putting shift workers at greater risk of chronic diseases, namely type 2 diabetes, gastrointestinal and cardiovascular conditions, and some cancers, as well as issues with weight management. SCRD can have a significant impact on human emotional, cognitive, and physiological health.

This 4-part programme is designed to support shift working and non-shift working staff with the promotion of their health and wellbeing. 

This programme combines nutrition guidance and coaching tools to encourage healthy eating practices, including night shift nutrition for physical and mental wellness.

Did you know that the same foods eaten at different times of the day and night are processed differently in your body? A range of hormones are in play that are regulated by light and dark cycles, and can affect your digestive and cardiovascular health, and weight management. Understanding this helps you make better informed food timings and choices - essential if you are shift worker.

Speaker Bio
Anna Earl. Anna is a former police officer, now a qualified nutritional therapist specialising in nutrition and lifestyle practices to support shift workers. 


Anna has studied the field of Chrono-nutrition; the relationship between our 24-hour body clocks, food intake and timing, digestion and health, and delivers solution-based programmes to promote health and energy whilst navigating shift work. Alongside her private 1:1 Nutritional Therapy practice, Anna worked as the nutritional consultant for the National Police Wellbeing Service and is a member of the Parliamentary Advisory Council for Transport Safety, (PACTS.org) advising on nutrition and fatigue for road users. She also provides nutrition coaching for a weekly menopause support programme, Mid-Point 4 Women, run by The Metropolitan Police's Fiona Gehring.
