Under the Armed Forces Covenant agreement, any UK military veteran who has an illness or injury associated to their time serving in the armed forces including mental health issues or illness, are entitled to dedicated, specific, and personalised care outside of the NHS.
However, awareness of these pathways and how to refer an individual for these services and treatments is not common knowledge or frequently accessed. The aim of this session is to share this knowledge that has been co-produced with the Transition, Intervention, Liaison Service, (now known as Op COURAGE), one of the UK military support organisations with a pre-hospital audience.
This session will be useful to those providing care and treatment to patients or staff members experiencing physical and/or psychological illness or injury as a result of their previous military service. This includes paramedics, specialist/ advanced paramedics, ambulance/ community clinicians, health and wellbeing leads, human resources personnel, and leaders/ managers.
We are delighted that Gary Gilkes will be leading this webinar.
