The mission of the paramedic team is to nurture and develop confident, compassionate, highly skilled paramedics who are able to autonomously deliver safe and effective person-centred care. We aim to engender critically reflective health professionals able to prioritise the complex needs of patients, families and other professionals, and to maintain ethical, lawful practice informed by contemporary, robust evidence. 

Overview:
The duties described represent the range of activities that may be expected at this particular level but the actual range and depth of duties being undertaken will vary dependent upon the experience of the staff member.  Staff members developing through this level are expected to gain the necessary experience and skills to demonstrate competency in the main areas of the role as described before progressing to the next level.

General duties:
To work with colleagues on curriculum development and the advancement of relevant discipline areas within the university.
To deliver teaching over a range of modules. 
To undertake student tutoring and support.
To contribute to the scholarship, professional practice and enterprise activities and objectives of the Faculty.
To support the academic work of the Faculty
 
Specific to this post:
To support the organisation and management of ambulance and non-ambulance placements
To participate in student recruitment and outreach activities
To contribute to the development of CPD provision for paramedics and other Allied Health Professionals
