Campaigns and Consultations

Introduction

The Royal College of Paramedics is committed to representing and advancing the paramedic profession across the United Kingdom. Through our campaigns and consultation work, we advocate for positive change in policy, practice, and public understanding. Our goal is to ensure that Governments and policy makers understand the profession to ensure legislation and policy is informed.

We work collaboratively with members, stakeholders, government bodies, and healthcare partners to influence developments that impact the profession, patient care, and the future of pre-hospital and out-of-hospital healthcare.

Our Campaigns

Our campaigns focus on key areas that matter most to our members and the communities they serve. We aim to raise awareness, influence policy, and support professional wellbeing and development.

Recent and Ongoing Campaigns Include:
Mental Health Bill
Supporting Newly Registered Paramedics
Prescribing
2026 Elections - England - Scotland - Wales

Each campaign is shaped by our members’ feedback and grounded in our mission to strengthen and sustain the paramedic profession for the future.

Consultation and Representation

The Royal College of Paramedics regularly contributes to national consultations, legislative reviews, and policy discussions on issues affecting paramedic practice.
Our consultation responses reflect the expertise, experience, and insight of our members — ensuring that the paramedic perspective is represented wherever decisions are made.
Members are invited to contribute to consultations and share their professional views, helping us to represent the collective voice of the paramedic community.
