As you may already be aware, we have a continually growing membership and we have now outgrown our current structure. We announced a proposed restructure in December 2020 to develop and strengthen the organisation for the future, to ensure we are more agile and that we can meet the needs of a growing and increasingly more diverse membership.
Following the postponement of our EGM on the 27th April, we have made the following small changes to the Memorandum and Articles of Association previously provided, in order to improve clarity; a full stop will be added, and 3 instances referring to Full members will be changed to voting members.
We are now asking members again to approve this governing document, through a special resolution at an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) which will be held at 12:30 on the 8th June 2021. This approval of the Memorandum and Articles of Association will complete the restructure from a legal perspective. The opportunity to vote or, if you have voted already, to change your vote will be provided from the 26th May, closing at 12:55 on the 8th June during the EGM. This is an important and vital step for all our members, and it is your opportunity to be part of the decision-making process to shape the future of your professional body, so please look for the email from Civica Election Services (CES), cast your vote and have your say.
On Wednesday the 26th May we are offering our members two opportunities to attend a member engagement session where we will present information about the restructure, with another chance to ask questions, in order to provide more information so you can make your decision when voting. To sign up for one of these sessions click here.

If we gain the approval of our members through this vote, we will then be in a position to implement our new governance processes following the AGM in September 2021.
