Kirsty Lowery-Richardson, Head of Education, College of Paramedics 

Kirsty has been a paramedic for over 20 years having joined the Ambulance Service as a Direct Entry Technician 24 years ago. She worked in a senior clinical leadership role in the Yorkshire Ambulance Service following several roles in Operations and Education. Kirsty was one of the original authors of the first Foundation degree programme locally as the shift from IHCD to academia occurred, she has designed, commissioned and cowritten BSc programmes and supported ACP programmes locally to ensure they are inclusive and appropriate for paramedics. Kirsty was the first paramedic to take up an Associate Dean role with HEE in Yorkshire and the Humber in 2018 and more recently spent time as a national advisor for paramedics with Health Education England as well as holding an ICS workforce transformation role prior to taking up post as the Head of Education in January 2023 here at the College of Paramedics.
