City of London Police Baseline Cyber Security Training
The College of Paramedics are pleased to host this free "lunch and learn" Cyber Security Training presented by
Simon Ardeman
of
Cyber Griffin
and
The City of London Police
.
Kirsty Lowery-Richardson, Head of Education at the College of Paramedics, completed this training and said:
"I thought I was quite cyber savvy but I'm so glad I did this training it's completely opened my eyes to the opportunities for those that know what they're doing to access your data and trick you with clever manipulative tactics. This will help me both at work and at home. Would highly recommend!"
BASELINE BRIEFING
This Baseline Briefing is designed to raise attendees’ baseline level of knowledge by providing accessible, effective advice to those with little or no knowledge of cyber security. As the content is NCSC assured you can be confident that the advice is as up to
date as possible.
KEY BENEFITS
Impartial, vital and practical cyber security advice.
Provides all attendees with examples of current threats.
Can be counted, and evidenced towards your CPD.
Have any specific questions answered by our experienced team.
Evidence shows the majority of cyber attacks start by targeting the user, using techniques such as social engineering. It has also been shown that the majority of cyber attacks can be mitigated by better cyber security practices. To mitigate this, you will be shown real life examples of how cyber criminals attack individuals and organisations.
The Cyber Griffin team share their personal experiences in preventing and investigating cyber crime. Using the latest statistics and industry best practice, we follow a typical attack path through Social engineering, Phishing and Malware attack. We also cover critical and emerging areas in Secure connections, Account security and the Internet of Things. This briefing is full of useful consumer advice to ensure that all attendees are equipped to put into practice their new cyber security knowledge.
This Baseline Briefing is an ideal and effective resource. Whether you have only just begun your security culture journey, or your security culture is well-established, this Baseline Briefing is the perfect way to introduce you to the threats and prevention tactics, that will help to secure you and your place of employment against cyber attacks.
CYBER GRIFFIN
Cyber Griffin are an independent service, with direct access to Police and Action Fraud databases. Their intelligence led services are continually updated to reflect the most relevant and prevalent threats.
