Have you started your eLearning journey yet?  As the College of Paramedics launches its Paramedic Mental Health and Wellbeing Steering Group, why not enhance your own understanding of Mental Health issues by working through the eLearning module Mental Health for Paramedics?  Divided into twelve bite size sessions, this module will help you to get to grips with the Mental Health Act, the Mental Capacity Act, issues in restraint and restrictive interventions, common mental health conditions and the challenges associated with patients who self harm.  Each session can be studied a little at a time, or in one go.  If your study is interrupted, the software will allow you to return to the point at which you left it.  For more information about the Paramedic Mental Health and Wellbeing Steering Group, see the forthcoming edition of Paramedic Insight (available in September).

Did you know, over the last two years the College of Paramedics has created ten e-Learning Modules specifically for paramedics, available at e-Learning for Health?  There are two ways to start your e-Learning:  if you have an NHS or Ministry of Defence email address, you can register now on the eLearning for Health Portal or, if you don’t work in the NHS or Military, fill in the survey on the CPD hub page and the College of Paramedics will organise access for you.

I’d recommend these e-learning modules to all clinicians. Quick and easy to follow and can be started and stopped as and when needed.
