2019 Board Elections

Your College board needs you!

We are seeking dynamic, inspirational, enthusiastic, eligible members of the College for nomination to those positions to be filled which are listed in table #1 below.

This is a hugely important time for the College; more members, more opportunities to influence the direction of YOUR profession and the development of YOUR professional body.

We need Board members who can make the commitment and share their skills to ensure YOUR College Board is equipped to move forward and deal with the complexity of a relatively new profession as it continues to enhance YOUR and ALL its members professional standing.

If you think you are up for that challenge and have the skills to influence and lead, whilst maintaining your commitment for a minimum of two years then please see below for more details.

Paul Gowens

Vice Chair

In accordance with Clause 52.1 of the Articles of Association of the College of Paramedics, notice is hereby given of the positions for election to enable formal declarations to be made at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the College of Paramedics on Tuesday 14th May 2019.

Nominations are invited by eligible members of the College for those positions to be filled which are listed in table #1 below. It is important that members wishing to stand for election should familiarise themselves with clauses 51, 52 and 53 of the Articles of Association which are available for download on the College’s website.

Please note that eligible members are full members who are currently subscribed with the College of Paramedics.  Therefore only full and subscribed members are eligible to stand and to vote. The only exceptions to this are the student member and student alternate seats which are non-voting positions on the Board and are thus open to student members for nominations and open to all student members to vote for candidates entering the elections.   Full members wishing to stand for election will need to receive nominations from four full and subscribed members and students members wishing to stand should receive nominations from four subscribed student members.

The Articles of Association and the Trustees Duties and Commitments are available as related links to this notice.

Positions for election

Consistent with the Governing Board’s previous decisions regarding elections to Board positions, there will be approximately 50 percent of Board positions subject to elections each year.  This is to avoid the potential loss of corporate knowledge through exposing all positions to elections in any single year.  The positions for election in 2019 are listed in Table #1:
