Which emergency service is the fittest? The National Emergency Services Triathlon, sponsored by VUE, will see all the emergency services battling it out for the accolade of the fittest emergency service! Taking place on 14th May 2010 at the National Water Sports Centre in Nottingham, this sprint distance triathlon will include a 750metre swim in a lake, followed by a 20km bike ride, and finally a 5km run on the flat paths around the lake.

The second round of fully funded NIHR studentships to undertake the Masters in Research (MRes Health Sciences) at the University of Liverpool, School of Health Sciences commencing September 2010 is now open for applications with a closing date of Friday 30 April 2010 at 4.00pm. These fully funded studentships, jointly funded and supported by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) and the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) as part of the Clinical Academic Training Pathways (CATPs) initiative, are available for qualified Nurses, Midwives and AHPs employed in England. The studentships are available on a full or part-time basis and include full course fees and full salary replacement costs to employers.
