Event Information

The College of Paramedics are delighted to announce we will be hosting a CPD Event on Primary and Urgent Care in Bristol on the 11th February 2020. 

This will be an opportunity for those clinicians currently working, or considering a career working, in primary and urgent care settings to find out more about these roles and gain valuable insight into the types of patients and conditions that present and how best to manage them. 

This day is suitable for paramedics, nurses and doctors working in all areas of clinical practice and is open to members and non-members. There will also be an opportunity for networking and forum working throughout the day for all delegates.

Confirmed Sessions Include

Urgent Primary Care cases and discussion - Dr Anne Whitehouse, GP and Deputy Medical Director for Urgent Care at BrisDoc. This session will involve case discussions with a primary care/ urgent care focus.

Potential Perils and Pitfalls in Paediatrics - Dr Claire Salter, Paediatric registrar, Twitter @babydrclaire

Advanced Practice: Supporting One Another - Kerri Magnus, ANP, Chair and co-founder @BNSSG_ACP forum, Twitter: @BNSSG_ACP. This session will look at the forum Kerri runs which is aimed at creating a community for ACPs seeing urgent patients in a primary or community care setting.

Update in Independent Prescribing - Debbie Moreno- Chamorro, Independent Prescribing Lead, University of West of England

Multi- Disciplinary Team Development: The Paramedic Within Primary Care - Simon Robinson, Advanced Clinical Practitioner/ Lead for Education and Development, Beacon Medical Group, Plymouth

Health Education England: Paramedic in Primary Care Programme - Jim Petter, Project Lead, Paramedics in Primary Care, Health Education England

Management of Respiratory Problems in Primary and Urgent Care - Stephen Reeves-Brown, Specialist Paramedic Practitioner, Brunel Medical Practice

A Hot Buffet lunch will be provided along with tea and coffee throughout. CPD Certificates will be issued for all attendees
