This full day of quality CPD will explore an ‘alternative A2E assessment’ format with experts from the paramedic profession. The sessions are designed around delivering the skills, knowledge and insight that will enhance your everyday decision making and clinical practice.
A - An opportunity to explore the hidden secrets of the abdomen, expand your knowledge and increase your abdominal assessment skills.
B - A practical, hands-on haemorrhage control and trauma awareness skills session with Lee Thompson and Gary Shaw.
C - Andy Hodge will take you through a look at the function and assessment of the cranial nerves and how abnormal findings influence patient management and clinical decision making.
D - Pre-hospital workers are frequently the last clinicians a patient will meet; Joel Symonds examines who, why, when and how we resuscitate and how to engage with the difficult process of caring for patients and families when death is unavoidable.
E - ECGs ‘Curiosities of Prehospital Electrocardiography’ in which Phil Poskitt will be discussing a variety of alternative prehospital 12-Lead ECG findings - from pulmonary embolism, trauma, aortic dissection, to electrolyte abnormalities and more.
