Silver Trauma- Exploring the Evidence

An evening reviewing the evidence around the increasing prevalence of ‘silver trauma’ and what this means to paramedic practice.
Speaker: Lee Thompson, Research Paramedic
Lee Thompson has been an ambulance man for over 24 years. He began his career with Northumbria Ambulance Service on Patient Transport Services working at various day units within the region before undertaking his ambulance technician course. He started on the Accident and Emergency side of ambulance operations and later qualified as a paramedic. For the last 5 years he has been Senior Paramedic for Trauma with North East Ambulance Service and the Northern Trauma Network. He has a BSc and MSc in Clinical Practice Development and is currently undertaking research for his PhD in Trauma with a focus on elderly trauma.
