3rd Annual Paramedic Practice Educator Conference

The Institute of Health at the University of Wolverhampton cordially invites you to a conference and workshops to explore paramedic educators in the 21st Century ambulance service.

Workshops to include:

  • Paramedics in Research
  • Student Centered Mentorship – Yetti Wah Patrick and Paula Gardner (University of Worcester)
  • Peer mentorship – Jo Carruthers (Staffordshire University)
  • Placement competency for 3rd years – how do you mentor someone on a higher qualification than you
  • Embracing and practicing diversity - LGBT – supporting students, and the culture, rhetoric and language used with Patients. Lucy Kelsall-Knight, Ceri Sudron (University of Wolverhampton) Chloe Barley (West Midlands Ambulance Service University NHS Foundation Trust)
  • Using simulation in practice placement for assessment. Dawn Wilbraham and Steph Coles (Coventry University)

Open Forum discussion – SoME

The event will conclude with an open forum discussion to address issues, questions and discussion
around the use of Social Media.
