Paediatric Minor Illness
As one of the most vulnerable patient groups seen in emergency and urgent care settings, it is essential that clinicians have the skills and confidence to recognise and treat minor illness, but crucially recognise those who are critically unwell and those at risk of serious complications.
Aimed at Paramedics, Nurses, other health professionals that are required to see and treat acutely unwell children
Children aren’t just small adults, and they require a very specific and considered approach. Many practitioners are apprehensive or lack confidence when faced with an ill child.
This course builds upon the principles of our successful Minor Illness CPD course, to bring you a paediatric specific day of study.
This interactive and thought provoking one day course is delivered by an experienced Specialist Paramedic and will start to develop your knowledge and skills to confidently identify minor paediatric illness and those at risk of serious complications and deterioration.

Approach to paediatric assessment
Common acute minor illnesses, ENT, respiratory etc
Management of common conditions
Red flags and recognising serious pathology
