ECG interpretation is an essential skill in the assessment of the patient presenting with a potential cardiac disorder or dysfunction.
These half day courses are ideal for those who are either new to ECG interpretation, or for those who wish to refresh or further develop their existing knowledge.
Our ECG Masterclass- BASICS is suitable for Ambulance Technicians/ Associate Practitioners, health care students, event medics, advanced first aiders, first responders
Our ECG Masterclass- ADVANCED is suitable for Paramedics, Nurses and medical/ health care students. Also suitable for advanced practitioners, GPs or Junior Doctors who wish to develop their skills in identifying acute or concerning ECG abnormalities.
ECG Masterclass- BASIC (morning session)- This course will cover the basics of cardiac anatomy and electrophysiology, ECG lead placement and interpreting essential single lead cardiac rhythms.
ECG Masterclass- ADVANCED- (afternoon session)- This course will cover the importance of correct 12-ECG lead placement, 12- lead interpretation of arrhythmias and identification of acute and potentially life threatening 12-lead abnormalities.
NB. It is expected that those attending the advanced course will already have a good foundation knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology, and be proficient in interpreting 3-lead ECG rhythms
The course leader is an experienced Paramedic with experience in Specialist Urgent Care, Higher Education and NHS Ambulance service, so you can rest assured that you will taught by an appropriately experienced teacher.
VENUE– TBC in NUNEATON 1-2 weeks before the course.
