This one day course focuses on the small gains to be had during out of hospital cardiac arrests (trauma and medical). You will take part in testing scenarios but within a safe and supportive learning environment. A team approach is the mainstay of the course and the leadership and followership required by the team is discussed and put to practice.
The day will cover –
Effective CPR – manual and mechanical
Airway management and ventilators
Medical and Trauma reversible causes of cardiac arrest
Vascular access, fluid therapy and drug administration
Management of ROSC
Crew Resource Management and Human Factors
Diagnosis of Death and Organ Donation
The day is delivered by paramedics and doctors who have extensive experience in the field of resuscitation. Many from a critical care background.
