2018 Cambridge Future Trauma Care
Cambridge Future Trauma Care
Cambridge Future Trauma Care is a two-day multiprofessional educational event held in Cambridge, UK.
Trauma is both the system and the disease.
CFTC 2018 is a new approach to trauma conferences, reflecting the unique interaction between trauma systems and clinical medicine in the care of our patients. The conference has three objectives:
To employ world class trauma care within the East of England Major Trauma Network and the wider clinical community to develop skills and understanding.
To encourage networking, collaboration and innovation.
To learn from excellence outside of medicine.
Seminars and workshops will cover trauma clinical care, team relationships, systems engineering, violence prevention, medical law, and patient experiences of life changing trauma.
The conference will inspire learning and innovation in all aspects of trauma care and will appeal to all professionals involved in the care of traumatically injured patients.
Speakers include Karim Brohi, Clinical Director for Major Trauma in London; Ed Barnard, Consultant in PHEM Defence Medical Services; Steve Eaton MBE, Performance Development Consultant at DNA Definitive; Rob Loe, Director of the Rational Schools Foundation, Karyn McClusky, Chief Executive of Community Justice Scotland, Angelos Kolias, Lecturer in Neurosurgery at the University of Cambridge; Peter Bates, Consultant in Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery, Royal London Hospital; and Alain Vuylsteke, Clinical Director of the National Respiratory ECMO Service, Papworth Hospital, Cambridge.
