The College of Paramedics welcomes back Sam Willis, Programme Lead at Curtin University in Western Australia in addition to the newly appointed Programme Lead at Portsmouth University, Rob Isherwood.

Human Factors have long been taught within Paramedicine and with the tragic loss of Elaine Bromiley* being attributed to a breakdown in such factors, it is more important that we acknowledge them and develop our awareness to make us better pre-hospital clinicians.

During this session, Sam and Rob will discuss incidents where they’ve made errors but through self-reflection, they have developed and improved their skills and developed as clinicians.

Owning the error explores through discussion how we can all learn from each other and improve through unity and reflective practice. This is an interactive session and engagement is encouraged along with role model behaviour. We can all learn from each other.
