New Year's Honours 2021

The College of Paramedics congratulates members who have received awards in the New Year’s Honours List announced on 10 October 2020:

• Lee David Brooks, Director of Operations, Frontline Emergency Ambulance Response, Non-Emergency Patient Transport Service and Clinical Contact Centre Services, Welsh Ambulance Service NHS Trust awarded the Queens Ambulance Medal

• Cathryn Jean James, Clinical Pathways Manager, Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust awarded the Queens Ambulance Medal

• Keith Rowland Prior, National Director, National Ambulance Resilience Unit (NARU), West Midlands Ambulance Service University NHS Foundation Trust awarded the Queens Ambulance Medal

• Sharon Grace Thorpe, Clinical Team Leader, Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust. For services to Paramedics and Ambulance Staff (Newport, Gwent) awarded the British Empire Medal

• Nicholas David Milman Woolf, Volunteer Paramedic. For services to Emergency Medicine and Disaster response awarded the British Empire Medal

• Martin Flaherty, O.B.E, Managing Director, Association of Ambulance Chief Executives awarded the Queens Ambulance Medal

• Clare Elizabeth Langshaw, Ambulance Operations Manager, Resilience and Specialist Operations, Welsh Ambulance Service NHS Trust awarded the Queens Ambulance Medal

• Margaret Mary Barclay, Resource Manager, Northern Ireland Ambulance Service awarded the Queens Ambulance Medal

• Steph Jones, Interim ACC Head of Clinical Services awarded the Queens Ambulance Medal

• Araf Saddiq, Paramedic, Scottish Ambulance Service, awarded the Queens Ambulance Medal

• David John King, Specialist Paramedic, East of England Ambulance Service. For services to the NHS and to Fundraising awarded the British Empire Medal

The College of Paramedics applauds all recipients. The awards are fitting recognition of the enormous contributions each has made to paramedical and ambulance services throughout the UK and elsewhere.
