Mental health leave for paramedics in England nearly triples since 2011



A shocking new investigation has revealed that the number of paramedics taking time off because of mental health concerns has almost tripled in the last decade.
Liz Harris, Head of Professional Standards at the College of Paramedics, who was actively involved in assisting with the Guardian newspaper article cited long hours, changes to shift patterns, fatigue and low levels of perceived autonomy amongst the reasons for the startling increase in stress-related leave.
