The Faculty of Clinical Informatics is now open for applications from new members and fellows, for a limited time only.
The Faculty of Clinical Informatics (FCI) provides the invaluable support of a professional network that can help to build knowledge and skills and allow shared learning with peers. As an independent, multi-disciplinary organisation, the FCI excels in a range of activities to encourage and develop the practice of clinical informatics to improve patient outcomes in health and social care.
Informatics is especially critical during the current pandemic. Never before, has the need for information and digital solutions been so acutely realised by so many. At this time, more than ever, health and care professionals have much to gain from joining a network of colleagues for support and knowledge sharing.
“FCI is an excellent platform and good starting point for raising the profile and mainstreaming of clinical informatics within the NHS and beyond.” Mahmood Adil, Public Health Scotland
FCI members benefit from a wide range of opportunities, from career development support (through mentoring and support with revalidation and appraisals) to the chance to join Faculty special interest groups (including clinical safety, AI and early careers groups), as well as access to exclusive Faculty events, including 2 annual conferences, and regular webinars). Members are also kept up to date with the latest ideas and advances in clinical informatics through monthly e-newsletters.
The deadline for applications for Members and Fellows is 7th September 2020. Applications for Associate are accepted at all times.
