Honours and Competitive Awards Are Now Open

Honours and Competitive awards are now open

The Honours & Awards Committee (HAC) is pleased to announce that nominations for our Honours and Competitive awards are now open for members for the 2022 season.

Go to the College of Paramedics website https://www.collegeofparamedics.co.uk/COP/About_us/Honours/COP/Honours.aspx and download the guidance (Updated for 2022) and the relevant nomination form. You have 10 weeks to undertake this, and we would remind you ALL nominations need to be sent to awards@collegeofparamedics.co.uk by Monday 21st March 2022.

Honours do exactly as they are intended and allow us to jointly celebrate the recipients’ wonderful supportive and achievements to the profession, to the College and to the wider health and care community. Last year we added two new honours to our repertoire, a Companion, and an Honorary Companion of the College of Paramedics.

Competitive Awards recognise our outstanding members who have contributed to the College of Paramedics, the progression of our own profession, and the outstanding efforts of a final year student.

Nominations by education providers for the Student of the Year Award.
Students may submit a REFLECTIVE case study for the Carol Furber Award.
Pre-hospital providers for the island of Ireland may submit a clinical case study for the John Hinds Scholarship Award.
Full and associate members may present a clinical case study for consideration for the Roland Furber Award.

So don’t delay follow the link to our website and get the guidance.  Please feel free to email the Chair of HAC Bob.fellows@collegeofparamedics.co.uk if you have any questions relating to this year’s process.

We plan to present these prestigious awards in person later this summer and all 2022 recipients are invited to attend and bring family to the event.
