The College of Paramedics Diploma in Primary and Urgent Care (DipPUC) Faculty is still keen to expand its pool of potential new examiners, as we prepare for future growth.  This is an excellent opportunity for experienced paramedics and other health professionals working in Primary and Urgent Care to gain further experience in the assessment of their peers as part of a robust examination process.  Examiner duties include contributing to the development of new examination questions and OSCEs as well as assessing a range of candidates from varied employment backgrounds.  To be eligible to apply you must previously have passed either the DipPUC or its predecessor, the South East Coast NHS Foundation Trust Paramedic Practitioner Examination; or be able to provide evidence of an equivalent level of practice based knowledge and experience, together with a clear understanding of the role of a professional examination in healthcare practice.  Suitable candidates will be invited to take part in a development process led by the Faculty, leading towards appointment as an examiner for those with the requisite skills, knowledge and approach to learning and assessment.
To express an interest in becoming an examiner, please provide a statement of no more than 400 words detailing your suitability for the role.  Please send your statement, along with your curriculum vitae, to Yvonne Cooze, Examinations Manager at yvonne.cooze@collegeofparamedics.co.uk   For an informal chat, contact Gary Strong, National CPD Lead (Education) at gary.strong@collegeofparamedics.co.uk
