The College of Paramedics is proud to be running International Paramedics Day on 8th July 2023 following the success of our inaugural campaign in 2022.

AIMS

  • Celebrate paramedics, first responders and community volunteers around the globe and the vital role they play
  • Acknowledge the difference they make to people's lives in almost every imaginable situation
  • Raise awareness of all the settings where paramedics work including primary and secondary care, GP surgeries, military, offshore, helicopter emergency medical services and telephone triage systems
  • Promote the profession to aspiring paramedics and students

THEME FOR 2023

The theme for International Paramedics Day 2023 is What Paramedics Do.

The paramedics profession is a relatively young one but it is growing rapidly and we feel it is important to raise greater awareness and understanding of the breadth and depth of roles that paramedics perform in almost every conceivable setting.

We hope that everyone with an interest in the paramedic profession will get involved and help us to educate governments, policy-makers, other healthcare workers, students and potential paramedics of the future as well as the general public.

With increased understanding comes greater engagement, co-operation, support and change.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

We are calling on all practising and student paramedics, educators, research fellows, leaders and managers, first responders and community volunteers to tell the world what you do and where you do it by posting on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter using the hashtags #WhatParamedicsDo and #IPD2023 so that we can share your content.

You can also upload your own short written case study or video for us to use on the International Paramedics Day website and social media channels.

Find out how to get involved.

Please spread the word!
