College Area: London
I qualified as a Paramedic from the University of Hertfordshire in 2013, graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Paramedic Science. I immediately began study towards an MSc in Paediatrics and Child Health at Imperial College (London) whilst working full time as a Paramedic for the London Ambulance Service.
In September 2014, I moved to Anglia Ruskin University to take up a post as a Paramedic Clinical Skills Tutor teaching undergraduate students on a newly developed Paramedic Science degree. I completed my PGCert Learning and Teaching for Higher Education and in November 2015 moved into a Paramedic Lecturer post with Anglia Ruskin.
I still maintain regular clinical practice with London Ambulance Service and hold an honorary post within the ED at St Mary’s Hospital (London). My research interests are in Paediatric Out of Hospital Care, Paramedic Education and Quality Improvement. I am the co-founder and past Chair of the UK Student Paramedic Conference.
In October 2014 I became an acting Council member before being formally elected to the post in June 2015. I am responsible for membership and CPD activity in the London Region.
